Ear piercing question?

i got my ear pierced the other day and its fine. i put the alcohol on it twice a day like im suppose to and all that. but i was wondering if i could just put alcohol drops straight onto my ear instead of putting it on a cotton swab because i feel like thats not getting enough of it on. please respond. thanks
