What do i do to get medical attention, please!?

Im 27, male from ny. I felt discomfort in my throat and felt a lymph node in my neck, i went to the doctor and told her. She took a swab to see if it was a bacteria then scheduled a followup to draw blood months later. She called and said it wasnt a bacteria. Im afraid it might be a cancer but i got fired and lost my medical. Now i wont be able to do the followup to have her do the next step. I dont want to wait anymore time but without income and insurance im afraid of the bills i cant pay. Is there anyway to help the situation?
