USMC. Can I wear my running suit for PT on leave?

Im a new Marine on my leave from boot camp. I dont want to get all nasty and fat on leave and I really want to sport out my new running suit issued to me at boot camp!.... I know that the top of the uniform is authorized for wear with civilian clothes and the bottom isnt but I guess I wasnt listening in the house of knowledge at boot camp to see if we can wear our running suits for PT purposes only ...not anything else but just PT.. i dont want to get nasty. I think MCO P1020 34G says its okay but Im not sure.. could someone please help me out?
