False positive oral drug test causes?

Because my son stole vodka and is deemed to have a drug problem, I am now court ordered to random drug screening. My first test came back positive for cocaine. I do not use cocaine or any other illegal, prescription or over the counter drug. In my research I found that someone with kidney disease can test positive for cocaine and I have 6 of the 10 symptoms listed, however, the site implies that this false positive only occurs in urine tests and my test was an oral swab. Can anyone tell me WITH CERTAINTY that this can happen with an oral test as well? I made a V.A. disability claim back in december of 2006. Backpay?

It has been repeatedly denied because the V.A. lost the portion of my medical records that confirm incident happened during service. Over the years i have sent them names dates places and all info they needed to find copies of records. Still repeatedly denied due to NO EVIDENCE. I havent had the amount of time needed to work on case as much as i have had recently because i was working as a security contractor in Kuwait. Since getting home back in October of 2010 i resubmitted and personally tracked down all supporting records to include co-worker and family letters and official government documents to prove it occured during my service. All the info i obtained was in the places i had told the V.A. for years, why they didnt obtain the records themselves i do not know. I have been told by my V.A. regional rep that it is plenty of proof to get claim approved. I also consulted with, but did not hire private attorneys, who said i should be paid all the way back to 1998 when the incident occured in service because the Marine Corps did not follow the appropriate laws, policies and MCO's that dealt with my problem. I was actually NJP'd, rank taken and never given medical treatment after initial treatment even though i asked repeatedly for it. Also i was treated at Camp Lejeune Hospital for the injury but they also can not find an inpatient record, neither can V.A. neither can the National Personel Records Center. Its like the military medical records pertaining to this just disappeared. I do have evidence from Police Department Report and ambulance service from out in town taking me to Camp Lejeune. After that its like the records fell off the face of the earth..... My question is will i get backpay to 1998 (in service) or Dec. 2006 (first claim) or Oct 2010 (last claim)? My V.A. regional rep said im looking at 70% or more from his experience.

So I really wanted to pierce my ear a second time so I took a needle and rubbed it with alcohol and stroked it through fire. I put alcohol on an earring and let it sit. I pierced my own ear and before you tell me how stupid I am for doing it (believe me I know) I'm terrified it'll get infected. Whats wrong with my throat?

Well, I had a sore throat for the past few days, And like I been having these for like 6 times each year. My last cold was in September 2010, and its June 2011 now. But I went to an Emergency today. And my doctor was a short Asian (No offense to some people.) and he ended up feeling my throat and everything, checking inside my mouth. I told him everything. Yesterday, I wasn't feeling to good, I felt like I was having a bad cold and a fever at the same time with a migraine. So I wrote down all the things that happened to me and I showed the doctor. I told him, the day before, I was dizzy, I had the signs of both a cold and fever, and I had aching legs, the migraine that made me cry badly, the sore throat / mouth. and Runny / Stuffy nose, Etc. It was just horrible yesterday. Now today when I went to the clinic place he told me to open my mouth and say "Ah" So I did as I was told and he shoved this weird looking two Cotton swab thing shoved together looking thing in my mouth. It hurt my mouth so much. I started gagging and I felt like spitting up flem. So I told me to wait there and I did for 2 hours. I see him going for lunch break and everything. So finally I was about to walk out, and he comes around the corner saying I have to wait again. I complained that I was thirsty and hungry. So he said he wasn't finished with me yet. So finally he comes and says it was negative? Is that a good thing or bad thing cause I'm worried. And he gave me pills that look like they'd last for 2 weeks, and he said he wants to see me again before school starts. So like, should I go back or what? Like whats wrong with my throat? Is it normal. A nurse said I had red spots on the roof of my mouth too, And I was told my throat was red in the back. So I wonder if I should consult this with my family doctor or just leave it be. How do I clean a moldy typewriter?

I recently bought a typewriter at Goodwill. It's actually in pretty good condition. My only problem is that there's some dusty mold on it. (Green dust is mold, right?) I've vacuumed the case and cleaned the outside with soap and water. (The case is lined with velvet, so I didn't wipe the inside.) It smells really musty, so I'm airing it out right now. I also set a box of baking soda inside of it. I cleaned the keys with soap and water. The mold is located on the metal at the bottom of the typewriter. I wasn't sure how to clean this part, so I just wiped off some of the dust with cotton swabs. How else should I clean the typewriter? I just want to make sure that it's safe to display inside the house.

Ok..so let me tell you...I have the same graphic card but the 1 gb version, the one which is on iMac is of 256mb (assuming you are getting the 21 inch mac). The card is pretty gr8...it has one of the best price/performance ratio in the market...it can play a lot of games.... well, like I can play assassin's creed at highest settings with little anti-aliasing, and nba 2k10 also at highest settings. But don't expect too much out if it for example playing crysis at highest settings in a good resolution.... It's still a very nice card for the price and displays graphics in superb quality. But since you are getting it in a mac there's no point thinking over its price/performance ratio.... Instead I recommend that you get yourself a custom build. You can get a much better graphics card and a better processor than the ones with iMac under about half the price. It will be a good computer but unless you are very specific to getting a mac... I would tell you to build your own PC, it will surely be more powerful. Again remember the gfx card that's in the mac has only 256mb so that could be a big drawback. All the best.

Recurring yeast infection/bacterial vaginosis ?

In November I was put on PO doxycycline for an infection not related to my vagina. It gave me a yeast infection that I attempted to treat with OTC fungicides. The symptoms subsided, but I could tell I still had a vag infection because of the pain during intercourse. I finally got insurance again through my new job in feburary or march and was able to go to the obgyn where they found both yeast and bacteria. I was given vaginal Metronidazole and PO Fluconazole. The symptoms subsided briefly, but came back. So back to the OBGYN I went where I was prescribed vaginal Miconazole. (I should note that all the while I had not been washing my vagina with scented anything and I was wearing cotton panties and I have great hygiene.) The Miconazole worked briefly again and the symptoms came back. This time the OBGYN sent out a swab for a culture. When she checked the wet prep she only noticed clue cells for BV and put me on vaginal Clindamycin. A few days later they found yeast on the culture and again gave me PO Fluconazole. On my last visit I was also perscribed Boric Acid vaginal suppositories which I have been inserting once a week to balance my vaginas pH. Now here I am on a weekend with symptoms and I would really like to know what other people have done about similar situations. Thanks!!

Most cases of pharyngitis (sore throat) are viral in nature and will run their course. Many of them mimic strep in appearance (i.e. producing the white exudate patches) and producing a severe sore throat. Tonsillitis and pharyngitis run hand in hand and are only differentiated because one area can be involved without the other but usually both are involved. Tonsillitis is simply inflammation of the tonsil(s) (just as pharyngitis is a inflammation of the throat) and is not a disease in itself, merely a condition or symptom, if you will. In each case one must ask the next question...what is the underlying cause? Again, most cases of sore throat are viral and antibiotics have no effect. Time is the only cure. Many clinicians will treat based on what they have been seeing in recent days (i.e. seeing lots of positive strep swabs and you have the same presentation, then simply treat for strep). Treating viral pharyngitis with antibiotics will not harm you but it will not help either. As with pharyngitis, tonsillitis can be viral or bacterial. On the other hand, tonsils are notorious for harboring strep and causing repeat episodes of strep pharyngitis, which is why tonsillitis is aptly linked to strep throat. Bottom line, Azithromycin is very effective against strep, so if you completed a course of that antibiotic and are no better, than you likely have viral pharyngitis/tonsillitis. If this is the case it will resolve on its own within 7 to 10 day from onset. If it persists beyond that or you develop other symptoms such as numerous enlarged lymph nodes in the neck, it may be mononucleosis (a virus that does not follow the 10 day rule), so follow up with you doctor if not resolved in 7 - 10 days.

Mars life lessons are always tough because we always feel that we need to act. Maybe not act appropriately, but we want action! And we want it now! Think about all the energy that it takes to dwell on past issues. I could suggest forgiveness but Mars rarely wants to travel down Forgiveness Road. Maybe this will help as Mars needs action. 22 weeks pregnancy problems?

Gun cleaning question?

I recently bought a Springfield xd9. I go shoot it just about every weekend and clean it after every time i shoot. I start off by running a patch with solvent on it through the barrel. Repeat. Then I use the bore brush and scrub it. I then run another patch with solvent through it and it comes out BLACK. I clean the brush and scrub again. Next patch is black. I repeat this at least 10 times and still, dirty patches. The bore looks smooth and clean and clear of debri but the patches stay black as long as I brush it. Do I really need to keep brushing/swabbing with patch back and forth until the patches come out clean, even if it takes 50 times? And am I doing something wrong here?

It should be very Obvious, as your cervix would be high and closed, but swabs wouldn't be recommended at 12 weeks unless necessary. Disrupting the cervix is not really recommended at this stage... Horrible vaginal smell, PLEASE HELP?

For the past day or two, I have noticed an awful smell in my vagina. It is not itchy, it doesn't burn, nothing FEELS wrong, but it is just this awful smell. I was Diagnosed with Beta Hemolytic Strep B in my anal and vaginal area and Im not preggers is this normal?

A few days after saving i had what I thought was a small painful razor cut that looked like a canker sore in my anal area, within the next 3 days I noticed that a similar small sore was on the outside lip of my vagina and what apearred to be an ingrown hair next to it I pulled it and applied Bacitracin Ointment to it and my anal sore. My first thought was I have herpes I went to the Urgent care clinic and the doctor told me I had an anal fissure and he noticed a yellowish discharge in my cervix durnig the pap along with a white discharge that he belived was Gonorrhea even though there was no scent. He also said I had bleeding in my cervix and it was extra sensitive in spots that I shouldnt have been.He took a culture of the sore on my vagina with a swab and also from my anal area. I gave a Urine sample and they took multiple Blood work to test me for every STD imaginable. He gave me a penicil shot befor I left and started me on a antibiotics for a Bacterial infection since I told him I always have UTI's or BV for some reason. And he belived that I did have some kind of Bacterial infection causing the white discharge. I was told to take Hot sitz baths for the anal fissure. After taking that Hot sitz Bath the next morning I woke up to small bumps in my anal area and also around those two sores in my vaginal area, I called the Urgent care clinic and a different Dr on duty assumed it was herpes and perscibed a cream and pills. Two days later all my Test came back I was negative for everything Herpes, Gonorrhea, pregnancy, You name it I Didnt have it. What I did have was Beta Hemolytic Streptococcus Group B. Here's the Gross part about it my cousin who just had her baby yesterday confessed to using my razor while she House sat for me and she had the EXACT same thing a month ago!!! He said the anti biotics should cure it but they dont seem to be working. Ive researched everything. Im following up with My OBGYN this Friday. Black nail polish is not coming off?

I put black nail polish on my toes about 2 weeks ago and i went to take it off tonight with nail polish remover but when i tried to the nail polish wouldn't come off. Ive tried cotton swabs, Q-Tips, and a cloth with the nail polish remover. Still nothing. I decided to try to scratch it off but i just gave up because I wasn't really getting anywhere. Does anyone know of any ways I can get this nail polish off? It looks really bad right now and im wearing shoes that don't show my toes cuz it looks odd. Accuracy of urine testing for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea?

I was tested for these two via urine tests a few years back, and it came back negative. Although someone had said i gave them these stds prior to testing. My question is how accurate are the urine tests? And are the swabs more accurate? AND say, if i DID have these stds but had gotten them two years before i got tested, would that affect the accuracy? How can I feel more secure about my private parts?

Do you know some tips or something that can help me overcome my insecurities about my private area(vagina)? I really do hate it.
