Pierced my own ear? Please help!?

So I really wanted to pierce my ear a second time so I took a needle and rubbed it with alcohol and stroked it through fire. I put alcohol on an earring and let it sit. I pierced my own ear and before you tell me how stupid I am for doing it (believe me I know) I'm terrified it'll get infected. I swabbed it with Claires antiseptic but my issues are I'm still worried it'll get infected. My second issue is that I didn't tell my mom. She didn't want me to have one but how can I hide it or what's the best way to approach her about it? Thanks
