A short layover in Orlando?

I am going to be flying to Panama City, Panama on August 9 on Continental. My problem are my connection flights that I booked. We are flying DTW to IAH, which isn't too much of a deal, because it is a 2 1/2 hour layover. From IAH, we are taking another connecting flight to MCO. Here is the problem, in MCO we have a 1 hour layover, and we have to switch airlines to Copa. This is the last flight before we arrive in PTY. Will we be able to make it, and how does the switching over process work? I think Copa and Continental are connected somehow. I also got these tickets off Orbitz.
