How can you get cotton out of your ear without going to a doctor?

ok so i just got back from swimming and there was some water in my ear that was annoying me i didnt feel like going to get my swimmers ear stuff so i just used a ccotton swab. i know stupid right? and i think a peice of it got stuck n my ear so i tried flushing it with the swimmers ear stuff. its really annoying me now and its sunday so the doctors arent open i cant really wait till tomorrow so please help me on how to get cotton out of my ear by myself!! thanks!!
