Black nail polish is not coming off?

I put black nail polish on my toes about 2 weeks ago and i went to take it off tonight with nail polish remover but when i tried to the nail polish wouldn't come off. Ive tried cotton swabs, Q-Tips, and a cloth with the nail polish remover. Still nothing. I decided to try to scratch it off but i just gave up because I wasn't really getting anywhere. Does anyone know of any ways I can get this nail polish off? It looks really bad right now and im wearing shoes that don't show my toes cuz it looks odd. Does anyone know of any thing I can do to get rid of this black nail polish? The brand I used was: Sally Hansen Hard as Nails with Nylon. I dont know much about Nail polishes. I know I should of probably put clear nail polish before applying the black but I was in a rush to put it on at a time because of an event. Suggestions would be appreciated!
